WCHS Wildcats vs. SM Jaguars

Pumped up for the big game
Ryan during pre-game...usually we don't get to the field early enough for pre-game but since I was unsure of where the school was and it wasn't in the safest of neighborhoods, we left early and made it to the game an hour before kickoff.
And since we were there so early...the boys were able to sneak down to the field and stay there the entire game...to say they were beyond excited would be an understatement!

Cobras vs. War Eagles

The team walking to weigh in. Every Saturday the entire team weighs in for safety. Notice no smiles...it's game day and it's serious!
Since it was a holiday weekend we had some kids gone, and with that being the case both Brendan and Colin played both sides of the ball...they were so very pumped about that!

And Colin again making a great block for the receiver to get the yards he needs for a touchdown!

Look on the far left side of the picture to see both Brendan & Colin blocking so the QB can get the pass off...way to work together boys!

It was a nail biter of a game...but the Cobras came away VICTORIOUS!!

Meeting up with my college best friend and roommate Julie. She and her family were visiting Arizona for a family vaca so we met at Out of Africa Wildlife Park for the day. We had lots of fun and took lots of pictures which will be in another post!

I have joined a site called mysurvey.com. I take online surveys for points which I can trade in for lots of different things. One of my surveys was to try a new cereal that is not even on the market and review it. It was pretty good...Colin liked it best!

I switched out my bulletin board at school with some artwork related to our reading theme.

In my class I encourage good behavior with a marble jar. When they are on task, working quietly, walking in the hall in a line quietly...they earn marbles. When they earn all of the marbles they get a 'marble jar party'. Today was our first marble jar party. It is a surprise for the kids until snack time...I found these fun letter fruit snacks! How educational!

Saturday on the field...the boys getting into line for weigh in. It was a great weekend for some football and the boys had a fantastic game!

Football Frenzy

Last week was the week...the week when it began...again...the first week of FOOTBALL SEASON! My most favorite season of all!! It all started Thursday night August 26, 2010 when the Wildcats of WCHS played the Knights of WV. It was the first high school game of the season and was be broadcast live on our local cable TV channel...first time EVER that we have been on TV...very exciting I tell ya!

We were away...I think this was the first time that we have actually talked to Ryan before the game! The boys were so very excited to be able to hug on their dad before kickoff.

Great motion on the field...for some reason my camera is not taking very good action shots...makes me kinda sad.

And thats the horn...sadly we were unable to bring home a W losing to the Knights 35-7. They are the #4 team in our region...not that that is an excuse. Ryan said he was pretty happy with the way that his defense played as our offense turned the ball over 5 times during the game.

We play away (again) tomorrow night...here's hoping for a win!

Cobras vs. Giants On a very early, very hot Saturday morning we headed to the field for Brendan & Colin's first football game of the season!

Beautiful morning for some football!

This is the 3rd season the the boys have played on the Cobras and they love it. Brendan is #80 and plays defensive end and Colin is #60 and plays center. These boys could care less if they win or lose...they play for the ♥love♥ of the game.
And here are your 2010 Cobras!!

Sunday was a fun day...lunch with Crystal and night swimming with the fam!

Monday I actually had a minute to breath so on our way home from school we swung by Ryan's football practice, since the boys didn't have practice. 3 days last week we had excessive heat warnings so the Wildcats had late practices.

Another Tuesday...Another HUGE storm. This is the view from my chair. NOT fun!

The boys have joined band...Brendan plays the trumpet & Colin plays the trombone. This is the first night they brought their instruments home...don't be jealous that I get to hear all that noise, oh I mean music!

Thursday~216/365

Thursday night brings us to the first game of Coach Mac's 2010 football season! Normally they play Friday nights, but tonight they were being broadcast live on our local cable station! So very exciting. Ryan's defense were tough but not tough enough...they lost. Here is Ryan talking to his defense while the camera man was over his shoulder!

Not sure what happened but I missed a picture today...I was so excited that we had NOTHING after school! We actually had dinner as a family and hung out! that is 2 weeks in a row that I have missed a picture...promise to be better next week!

Saturday~218/365 Saturday brought us to the 1st game of the Cobras 2010 football season! Tough guys ready for some football!
