Project 365 ~ {another} 2 Weeks Worth!

Project 365 button designed by http://richgift.blogspot.com

A Picture a day for 365 days...a year's worth of fun! I hope you have as much fun seeing a peek into my week as I am posting about it!

Sunday~310/365
Sunday we had lots of help getting smaller things from old house to new house. My mom and I spent a lot of time getting the kitchen together.

Monday~311/365
Monday we had our first dinner in our new house...what's better than pizza?!

And since we had little, very little, furniture in the house we blew up our air mattress to sit on, or in this case...snooze on!

Tuesday~312/365 This was ONE pile of stuff for drop off at Goodwill...we have made 3 HUGE trips so far with at least 1 more to go.

Wednesday~313/365

The weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas are the hardest for kindergartners and kindergarten teachers...they are hyped up on toys and commercials and Santa and everything Christmas that it is so hard to focus. Sadly they had a few not so good choice days...this was one of those days...everybody ended up on yellow...how sad!

Thursday~314/365 I finally put up the Christmas tree {at the new house}...

Friday~315/365

Our new house the day before we moved in

Saturday~316/365 Saturday brings us to moving day...we had 7 football players, 3 coaches, 3 trucks, and 1 trailer to help us move...it took less than 3 hours...this is the after pizza party for all those who helped out! So glad I married a football coach!

Sunday~317/365

In our old neighborhood, the boys very rarely played outside...we had been in our new house less than a day and they already had tons of friends! They came looking for Brendan and Colin while we were at church!! They have played outside with their new friends everyday since we have moved in.

Monday~318/365 Monday December 13, 2010 brings us to the boys' first semester band concert. They both did AWESOME! Brendan plays the trumpet and Colin plays the trumpet. Here they are after the concert with their band teacher, Mr. H.

Tuesday~319/365 I finally started putting things up on the walls and this house is beginning to feel like home... happy sigh...

Wednesday~320/365 Gingerbread {or graham cracker} Houses built by my kindergarten class...a yearly tradition.

Thursday~321/365 Thursday I baked banana bread and made cookies for my fellow kindergarten teachers for Christmas.

Friday~322/365 This is what I got from my Secret Santa on Friday...YUM! This is my most favoritest kind of candy in the whole entire wide world...and you can only get it at Christmas time. Thanks Kelly...you were a great Secret Santa!

Saturday~323/365 Last minute picture so I could have a Saturday picture...Ryan eating taco salad right outta the bowl!

This is what Sara says on her blog about Project 365...
"I am attempting to take one photograph each day of this next year. My hope is to be able to slow down and see the small things, become a better photographer and to be reminded of the many blessings God sends my way! "

Well said Sara...thanks for letting me tag along!

Getting My Skinny On

So this past summer I was at the heaviest weight I have ever been. I felt gross. I felt disgusting. I didn't fit into any of my clothes. I ate everything; I mean everything. I was ready for a change, but if you know me then you know change scares the crap outta me! So I went to my doctor for help. She talked to me and put me on a weight loss program. She also gave me an appetite suppressant (when I needed the extra help and motivation...to kick start it, she said). I meet with her monthly for my weigh in and check up as well as a lesson in nutrition. I have learned portion control and have stopped eating just to eat and this is what happened...

...42 pounds less...

{so far!!}

I couldn't be happier...
This is the weight I was before I got preggy with Brendan...
...I am now in the size that I wore when I got married...

Never in a million years did I think I could do this!

Here I am with my friend & trainer Tiff

...she is the one who helped me find my confidence...

...she is the one who helped me find my energy...

...she is the one who helped me find my sexy!!

Thanks Tiff!

And the season is over...
We played with heart...we played with passion...we played hard

COBRAS 18 - CYPRESS 19

The sadness lasted a few short minutes
Grandma & the boys

Me & my boys...it was a bittersweet end to a great season
...and sadly this will be the last season that the boys will be Cobras...they will both be moving up to Pee Wee next season...onto bigger and better things...from Cobras to CATS!

We weren't back at the hotel for more than a minute before the team headed to the pool for some spashin' around

After an afternoon of fun in the sun at the pool the team headed to
Medieval Times

We had never been to one before, but it was so much fun!

Our group all received blue crowns to wear; we later found out that this was the color of knight we would be cheering for during the tournament.
My mom, me and the boys before the show

While we ate the show went on...there were 8 knights...it was a great show

Sunday November 14, 2010
On our way outta town, back to reality, we stopped at Newport Beach to play for an hour or so. The plan was to walk on the beach and collect shells...
