Project 365 ~ Week 10

A picture a day for 365 days...a year's worth of fun!

Sunday ~ 64/365
Sunday March 4, 2012

Since the start of our official baseball season is tomorrow here, the boys and Ryan went out to play catch on this beautiful Sunday afternoon.

Monday~65/365
Monday March 5, 2012

First practice of the 2012 baseball season. The boys are in the Majors this season and will play on the Diamondbacks. They are on a team (the same team, thankfully) with some of the same boys from last season and some new ones as well...should make for an interesting season!

PLAY BALL!

Tuesday~66/365

Tuesday March 6, 2012 Tuesday children's author, Gary Hogg, came to speak to grades Kinder thru 5th. He did a great job sparking enthusiasm in the students to become better authors!! And of course the getup doesn't disappoint either!

Wednesday~67/365
Wednesday March 7, 2012 We are studying living things in Science and our reading unit is Down on the Farm...so another amazing parent brought in an incubator with Quail eggs. How awesome is that?! My students are having so much fun predicting and charting, keeping track of the temp and watching as the eggs are rotated twice a day. We are learning a lot and in just 2 short week we will hopefully have some Quail chicks!

Thursday~68/365
Thursday March 8, 2012

This week as been spirit week at school. Much to my dismay, the boys have not wanted to participate {mommy tear...they are growing up} but I on the other hand did! Monday was crazy socks day, Tuesday was Hawaiian Day, Wednesday was favorite book character day and today was twin day. Another kinder teacher, Mrs. B, and I happened to have the same skirt...so viola...twins! Tomorrow is hat day!

Friday~69/365
Friday March 9, 2012

Today was hat day so I was able to talk Brendan into wearing a birthday crown! He will turn 12 on St. Patrick's Day (next Saturday) but since we have spring break next week, he took in birthday treats to share with his class today. He choose custard filled chocolate topped long john style donuts with green sprinkles! I can't believe that I am going to have a 12 year old in a week...where has the time gone?!

Saturday~70/365

Saturday March 10, 2012 This afternoon, my parents, the boys & I headed about an hour east to go and watch my niece, Kennedy, play in a volleyball tournament. She plays on a 15U club team called the AZ Storm and they are so good that they were playing 18U teams at this tourney. The last time we saw her play was in October...I can't believe what an amazing player she has turned in to. Even tho they played amazing her team went 1-2. It was a fun filled day of volleyball.

Love that skirt!

You know, I remember "playing" volleyball in high school PE. I stopped growing after the 7th grade, so I was 5'4" & shorter than most of the girls and I was terrified of the ball. There was a lot of ducking instead of hitting the ball going on - ha!

Happy birthday Brandon!
