Sunday was a lazy day today...we were all still recovering from the late Friday night football game, early Saturday morning football game and the HOT HOT HOT. Above is how Brendan spent most of his Sunday...in his pj's, watching TV. (not sure why I couldn't turn this pic...oh well!) Below is Colin...he is obsessed with these spirit cups their football team is selling.
Monday we did story sequencing at school for one of my most favoritest book...Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?
Tuesday night at football practice, the boys were practicing hitting, blocking and tackling. Here is Colin dominating!

After school on Wednesday the boys and I stayed after to paint these spirit signs for their football team! They came up with the sayings, I painted it and then we all glittered!

Football fundraisers...I have told you lately how much I loathe fundraising?? I know I know, it gets the team much needs funds for all sorts of fun things, but you can only ask someone so many times to buy something...sigh...

WCHS Wildcats played their in-district rivals on Friday night...here is Ryan giving his players praise after they recovered a fumble. Sadly we could not pull off a win, this being the first time in 6 years to not win...blah. I hate to say it but we lost to VV Monsoon 20-7.

A late night on Friday and an early morning on Saturday did not make for a very happy mommy...but I did it. I was in bed about midnight, up at 4am so we could be to the field & ready to go at 5:30am for a 7am kick-off. WELL...they boys played AWESOME and the Cats came away with a WIN...28-0...so I guess that made up for it! (ok maybe not...I came home and spent the rest of the day in bed sick...blah!)

Ugh, I don't know how you managed to get out of bed after 4 hours of sleep. Sometimes no sleep at all is better than just a few hours. I would have been sick too.
I HATE fundraisers too. We're about to start selling scout popcorn and I am seriously nervous about it. I don't know why- such a silly thing to be nervous about but now I have to sell for two kids and not just one.
Congrats on the boys win. Glad y'all came out on top for at least one game this week.
Nolan loved Brown Bear last year. It was the first story he learned to read and he was so proud of himself!

I just bought out of two fundraisers at 175.00. I hate them that much.
Your posts about your class make me miss teaching...just a little though...not enough to get a job. LOL

I am just not that dedicated - I would have to find another mom to come wake my kids, feed them breakfast & take them to the game. Well, maybe not :)
I always hated fundraising too - blech!
Oh how I love football season. I'm not sure I would love the 4 hours of sleep.....
