Project 365

A picture a day for 365 days...a year's worth of fun!

Sunday~150/365

Sunday May 29, 2011

This weekend we rediscovered our game closet! Saturday night we played 'life' as a family of 5 and had lots of laughs; well tonight Colin Boy pulled out 'mancala' and played at different times with me & Ryan.

Monday~151/365

Monday May 30, 2011

Monday brings us to Memorial Day AND Colin's 10th birthday party. We had all of the coaches and their families over for a baseball themed party {did you expect anything else?!!}

Tuesday~152/365

Tuesday May 31, 2011Tuesday night brings us to a double header at the baseball field for playoff game #2.

1st up...Colin & the Cubs up against the Rookies...Sadly they couldn't pull out a win and lost 10-4 ending their path to the championship game. Above is Colin playing first base...he dove for a ball (which he missed) and that is the reason for all of the dirt.

Next up...Brendan & the Cardinals and they were up, once again, playing the Red Sox...this is the THIRD time playing this team. They held tough and close but in the end couldn't pull off a win and lost 10-8. Above is Brendan pitching (look at the tongue!)

With 2 playoff games & 2 losses the season is over...whatever will I do with all of my free time?! Until August 2 that is when football season starts!!

Great Season Cubs & Cardinals!

Wednesday~153/365
Wednesday June 1, 2011

Wednesday was the start to our Summer Fun Movie. 10 movies for $7. This is the 4th year for this fun weekly outing. Mind you they have seen most of the movies that they show, but how can you pass up a deal like that! Some of the movies on the list are Romana & Beezus, How to Train Your Dragon, Megamind, just to name a few.

Thursday~154/365

Thursday June 2,2011

After not working out for like forever...I finally started working out again this week...let me tell you...I AM SO SORE!

Friday~155/365

Friday June 3, 2011

Friday my mom, sister and I along with a bunch of their friends headed here...Charming Charlie, a MEGA store that sells any kind of accessories you an imagine...jewelry (in ANY style & color), belts, shoes, purses, scarves, hairbands...SO MUCH FUN! We spent 2 hours there!

Saturday~156/365

Saturday June 4, 2011

Saturday late afternoon into the evening found us on the football field for a 7on7 passing tournament where 16 teams participated in {non-contact} passing games and a big man comp. WCHS did very well coming in 2nd in the big man comp & showing promise with their passing game. Here is Ryan watching his defense shut down KHS's offense! This is {almost} making me excited for football season to begin!! Way to go Wildcats!

Sorry to hear your baseball season is over. Our playoff season has been postponed due to rain. All I can say is we better hurry because two of our best players are about to leave town on vacation and our coach too!

Colin is a lucky boy with his on-going birthday celebration.

Sara introduced me to Charming Charlie's and I think that may become one of my new secret vices :). I love the way everything is arranged by color.

Yeah for games pooh on the baseball season ending. Yeah for football going well. I know Ryan is so happy. Wishing we had that movie deal here. Family of five :). The perfect family size.

Whatever will you do until August????!!! RELAX, Momma, RELAX!! (Preferably in the air conditioning!!!) ;)

We have a Charming Charlie here. I've yet to go in there, but it sounds like where I NEED to go. (I'm a very poor accessorizer. (I don't think that's a word, but I'm going with it for now.)) Maybe I'll take Saylor, 'cause she would have a BLAST!

Bummer about the season being over. Neither of my sons were into sports, so I never had to do any of that.

Have a great week,
Mimi

Mancala is a favorite around here too.

So you are now looking at a few weeks of rest and time to fill. Whatever will you do?

We have a mancala game exactly like that. We made our own before that.
A cupcake-cake!
We had cupcakes for K's open house, besides the chocolate fountain!
