Spooktacular Fun!

I am the kind of mom who does not spend obnoxious amounts of money on Halloween costumes. So when they ask about costumes my reply is...go and find something!
On our way...

This year Brendan decided on an injured football player and I thought it was brilliant!! And I think the make up is amazing if I do say so myself!! Cost of this costume was $7 for gauze and fake blood!

Colin had a harder time coming up with his costume...I tried talking him into being an injured football player as well enticing him with "you can be the other guy!" but he wasn't into that. He spent most of Saturday trying to figure something out. He finally came out looking like this...
He didn't know what he was...with all of the colors and teams (Indians hat & Tigers jersey) my name for him was A Very Confused Baseball Player Hit with 1 to Many Wild Pitches to the Head!
Cost of this costume..$0!

Each year we trick or treat with our neighbors...here are the 3 kids ready to get their candy on!

Lots of fun was had by all...

...and now it's time for the candy comas!!

I am the SAME kind of mom! The one that Kinzie wore this year...she wore 2 years ago(it was just to big then). Your boys did a great job of being creative.

Don't I understand the candy coma! And by that I mean me, because I don't let my kids have all that sugar, HA!

My parents never spent money on our costumes either...I think I was a gumball machine one year...but we had to come up with something.

Love that they use their imaginations and come up with one of a kind costumes. My sister and I used to raid our mother's closet when we wanted a costume...my favorite was the gypsies we were one year.

I totally did the same thing with my kids...GO FIND SOMETHING TO WEAR! I refuse to spend $30 on one night. They looked great! Corbin was an injured skateboarder (with blood and bruises) and Maverick refused to have the paint on the face like Colin:)
