Project 365

A picture a day for 365 days...a year's worth of fun!

Sunday~23/365
So last week I posted a picture of the before cake that I made with only diet soda & cake mix...well we loved it so much that I made another one {um...yes I did!} and here is the after pics before devouring it...the chocolate one is choc cake mix & diet dr. pepper and the yellow one is yellow cake mix & diet cherry 7-up. Her name is Hungry Girl and she adapts 'normal' recipes so dieting people can feel like they are eating real food too....so very yummy!

Monday~24/365

Colin at basketball practice warming up...I am little sad, I have to admit, they have moved bball practices from the high school to an elementary school which means no weight room which in turn means no more working out for me during practice {insert tear here}...

Tuesday~25/365

January in Mrs. McCrakens' kinder class means it's time for simple addition...here is one of my students working her magic doing domino math! Adding is so very easy for this class...subtraction on the other hand...not so much!

Wednesday~26/365

I am in the middle of reading this book...all I can say is...OH.MY.AWESOMENESS.
It is hitting me straight over the head, making me ask hard questions, and opening my eyes to the Lord. I am loving it.

Thursday~27/365

This has become a fav in the McCraken home...it is SO yummy on almost EVERYTHING...ice cream {yum}, oatmeal {yum}, yogurt {yum}...could go on and on...and tonight I went to another Pampered Chef party and bought 3, YES 3, more different flavors to go in my spice drawer!

Friday~28/365

Friday night I met Crystal at a very yummy Mexican restaurant for happy hour and kid-free-mommy-only time...it was so great to catch up over chips and salsa!

Saturday~29/365 Saturday found us at the park celebrating Owen's 4th birthday...Dr. Seuss style! On the agenda...decorate your own cupcakes!

What a super fun week. Bummer on the weight room. So practices for you are now very boring. LOL
Text me :)
Those recipes sound so good and so easy. Something I love for sure.
So glad you are getting alone time.
You look great.
Yum to decorate your own cupcakes...those are belly aches waiting to happen...way to much frosting. LOL
Love ya!

I'm going to have to check out Hungry Girl. I "officially" started my diet last week. I give myself one cheat day a week but now I'm worried that I overdid it yesterday even though I only cheated for one meal and not the whole day. *sigh* I had Schlotzky's...and dessert. Yum but now I'm not sure it was worth it. But I lost 3 lbs last week. :) My goal this week is to hit 5 lbs lost total. I'm trying to keep them small and short-term so I don't get overwhelmed. And now that I have rambled on like you are sitting in front of me I don't think this reads very well. Hahaha. Anyways- great pictures this week and I'm off to check out Hungry Girl.

Don't you just love books that make you stop and rethink yourself? Yeah, me too, kinda.

That looks like waaaayyy too much sugar for 4 year olds, glad I wasn't the one watching them.

You could always walk laps around the gym to get in some extra exercise, but then your boys might get a bit embarrassed since they are getting to that age.

I LOVE the Hungry Girl too..thanks for reminding me about her. I heard about her a couple years ago, but forgot about her resourceful website.

Thanks too for the heads up on a good book. Always in the market for a good read.

Mmm - cake... I'm going to have to try that. You're still looking skinny - good job! Sorry about the weight room - I guess you'll just have to do cardio when the boys are at practice.
