...Brendan...
Half way into the season and the Cardinals are 3-5...not great but they are learning. There is a handful of kids that have been playing together for the last few years and then there are some boys on the team that have never played baseball before...yep...first season ever...so we are learning!
Brendan has spent some time pitching...which he LOVES but makes his momma so nervous!
Such concentration
I can't believe that I actually got this shot...I was shooting as he was batting but instead he was hit by the pitch...look at the bounce and his face...OUCH!
He got to take his base...way to take one for the team buddy!! (his face is so sad in this shot...still recovering from being hit! lol)
An after the game pow wow
He's outta there...
Whenever there is an out they have to call it to the field...
Brendan getting coached up by Ryan on first base
Brendan at bat...one of his good friends is pitching...sadly they lost this game
Brendan has had a few good hits this season...one of them being a 2 run homer...can you say AWESOME?! (Ryan is the 1st base coach in the background)

Last Wednesday (my birthday) it was rough...really rough. The boys had no school and it must have thrown off their entire day cuz they played like crappola! Here is Brendan in the outfield...is he awake or asleep??? Not sure! Cards lost this game 8-0...big fat shut out.
So half way through the season and there is a semi recap {sorta}...I know not as detailed as last year, but man alive...with the 2 of them on different teams and a bazillion games week it's a miracle I can keep up!! I am not gonna lie when I say that I have lost track of their games and stats...I know BAD mom...but at least I have the pictures to prove I was there!!

Sounds busy and super fun! We miss baseball this year so much...the nights, the lights, the candy at the consession stands, cheering, yelling, etc....my son has chosen to play soccer this spring instead. It's getting to the age where he has to choose.
Enjoy the season!
Oh OUCH! Poor Brendan! We have just started our baseball season, Alex and Emily are on the same team this year...so that does make it much easier to keep track! IT's still so cute at this age ;-) Emily already got hit in the mouth with a baseball too, she got a bruise and a little bit of a fat lip. But she's tough, she cried, but we told her to get back out there, ha! Great pics! I know it will be a good season...even if it's starting off a bit slow! Take care!
From one Baseball Mom to the other...I miss the season this year! With the move an all, we didn't do baseball here, but hopefully we can catch a league down there!
Looks like the boys are growing, and how fun to watch them under lights, and see them improving.
Thanks too for your encouraging comments Stacey!!!
Girl, you do a much better job of keeping track of the boy's games then I ever will. And Jakob's team has not won a single game. NOT ONE. Hahahaha. It's character building- or so I keep telling myself. Maybe it's character building for me moreso than him.
I didn't know how you kept up with their stats last year as it was. I'm trying to catch up, but I can't compare to the stats you had last year. Plus, my boy still freezes when he's batting, resulting in him watching the strikes just pass him by and I don't think he'd appreciate me posting that too much.
Are you posting one on Colin next?
Great baseball pics! Such a busy season for you and the boys!
