On The Courts...

Saturday February 19, 2011
Game 6

Colin Boy is up first...
do you notice anyone that you may recognize on the bench?? YEP...coach daddy stepped in while the head coach went on an overnight field trip with his son!

Colin had a VERY aggressive game...within the first 10 minutes he had 4 fouls...and if you know anything about basketball...5 fouls and you're out!

He sat out the rest of the first half and while sitting on the bench Ryan coached him up...

...so after half time he went back in and played like a completely different kid...came out strong and finished the game without fouling out!

He did great on offense and defense

But sadly lost (again)

36-39
That's OK boys...you'll get'em next week...

...and then it was Brendan's turn...

and coach daddy was once again sitting on the bench helping out

Brendan's game was at the high school's main gym...love it when they play here...real bleachers...real game feel and great pictures!!

Count it for 2! Way to go Brendan!
Every week I see B improving...he is turning into a very good basketball player!

...playing a little defense...

...and a little offense...
taking it down the court...

...taking the shot...AND getting fouled...

...count the basket...

AND

...he goes to the line...

In our league once a team is up by 20 points they stop putting them on the scoreboard, so this is the final score, but not really!!
The Scorpions WIN...
AGAIN!!!
46-25

Great games Demons & Scorpions!!!
Demons 2-4
Scorpions 5-1

2 games left and then it's on to baseball season!!

Once again, great pictures. Do you scrapbook? You have lots of good scrapbook material. My mother and I owned a scrapbook store for about two years, but I haven't "cropped" in about a year now. It's good that "daddy" got to help out. My husband will be coaching baseball in a few weeks with my youngest son, and he is very excited:) Have a great week!

Poor Colin, I hope his team is not losing heart about winning but playing to have fun and learn. But, ya know, winning is still fun.

Sadly son's team lost their first practice game today, 22-0. That was a tough loss to watch, the boys just weren't batting well at all.

How great that coach daddy got to step in and fill that role. Do the boys love it?

Glad my boy did not foul out. Way to be aggressive Colin. Sorry that they lost though. It is hard for them when the scoreboard is not in their favor. Crazy mom at model's game let the ref have it again because their team lost again. It is just a game lady...boost your child up at home don't make a fool of yourself and embarrass her on top of the loss. Sheesh.
Good job bren's team.
