I love the fact that my kiddos do not need technology to entertain themselves. Don't get me wrong, they LOOOOVVVVE to watch TV and video games ARE a daily occurrence, but they find their imaginations quite often!
One of their favorite things to do is to build forts in the living room. They have such a blast figuring it out in their minds, and then finding the right blankets for the right 'rooms'! It is a VERY planned out thing, don't ya know!?!

Here is Colin with his last super fort; sure it takes up both chairs AND the couch and where am I to sit? BUT I wouldn't have it any other way! They have such a blast...that is until they start wrestling around and it comes tumbling down!
So for now, I will let them use every blanket in the house and use every seat in the living room to build their super forts, cuz I know that this probably won't last very long!

LOL..what is it w/ boys and forts?? I let my son have his fort up for a couple of days. He kept getting frustrated when it would collapse!!
Well I am so glad to see that my kid is not the only one sporting a mohok this summer!!! Thank you, I'll send my mom over to see it so she doesn't think jadon is the only one to have one! :) We have a fort just like that right now too!! It is right beside me, in the basement living room!! at least i still have a place to sit!! :) what a great moment!! i was just thinking (before i came to read what you wrote, how long am i going to let them keep that up?????) love it!!! so how long are you going to let them keep theirs up????
It's amazing to see what the boys come up with.We better enjoy it while we can cause it won't be long til all they want is the electronics.
Oh how fun! It never ceases to amaze me what kids can make toys out of. Loving the haircut still!
Oh yea, my kids have always loved building forts! I will miss the 'days' but not the 'mess' of it. ha ha ha
Cute kiddo!
Ah yes, the good ole fort. Love love his mohawk...my son had one most of the winter.
Awesome post.
Oh, love the forts! My kids have not built one in awhile...maybe because there are too many Polly Pockets and Littlest Pet Shops everywhere..ha ha! I love how they think it through and get lots of fun out of it! {And love the mohawk! I've seen that alot already this summer! Alex just got his hair sheared! So cute!}
You're right, it doesn't last forever. Mine used to use flat sheets and blankets and make forts in the family room downstairs.
They sure had fun and yeah, I do kind of miss those days (don't miss the mess though, lol!).
