Football Frenzy

Friday night under the lights...
WCHS Wildcats vs. BGHS Bulldogs

Game time

Ryan's Defense firing off the line

Getting their heads in the game with a quick time out with the coach.

This is one of my favorite parts of the game...the after game hand shakes...it's all about good sportsmanship.

OH...AND the Wildcats WON!!!

The final score

WCHS 34- BGHS 13

Raising their helmets as the fight song is played and sung!

Ryan & one of the student managers Mitzi...she is the sweetest gal!

Way to go Wildcats...next week is Homecoming!

Onto Saturday

Cobras vs. Hombres

Standing and waiting in line for certification. This is where all of the players and cheerleaders identify themselves and get weighted in and they are also checked over to make sure they are in 'legal' gear! Very serious!

And the game begins...
Brendan is the one with his arms in the air...his job is to put his arms down signaling that the line can start running. If they start to run before the kicker passes Brendan than the team is called for off sides and that results in a 5 yard penalty...not something you want to start the game.
The boys were very excited today because they got to play on a varsity field. Usually they only play on an 80 yard field because they are Mighty Mites; well they were able to play on a 100 yard field and they loved it!

It was a beautiful day, not as hot as some of the other days, but when there is not shade...well you know!

The coach thought this would be a very hard team to beat...he was a little worried about a huge upset, but we only lost by 6...20-14. It was a great game and all of the coaches agreed that this was one of the BEST game that the boys played. They all played whistle to whistle as a team!
And what's football without a little sweat!!

So there you have it...another week of football frenzy
1 win...1 loss
WCHS 34- BGHS 13
Cobras 14- Hombres 20

Until next week...
Go Wildcats!
Go Cobras!

Girl you need a medal for all the games you take in for a season!!! Those are great pics. I wish our Uniforms looked as good as yours do. Our colors are soo boring!

So many great photos! I kept thinking,"Oh that one is my favorite" over and over. I love the handshakes, the helmets raised, the picture of the sweat (not sure why I like that one, though!)... they are all great. Sounds like another busy and fun weekend!

You are getting really good with those pictures. Glad Ryan's team won. Sorry about the boys loss, but they played good and that is all that matters in the end.

they sure are serious for the young guys! Great uniforms and even cheerleaders, so great! And look at all that sweat. I've wondered what we will do when they get a little older and we're all in the car together after a game... air freshener, LOL! We don't have to worry about too much sweat right now, they called the game early on Saturday because it was too cold. I think it's suppose to warm up though. Great pics! It's so fun talking to another football mom, this newbie appreciates it!

Congratulations!! What fun - I always love your pictures!! Thanks for the sweet comment about the girls costumes - just so you know I didn't sew anything on the skirt - just a lot of knot tieing and clue!! :) But I thought it still turned out cute and it was easy - that is what counts right!? :)
