Football Frenzy

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
Friday September 3, 2010
WCHS Wildcats vs. SM Jaguars

Pumped up for the big game
Ryan during pre-game...usually we don't get to the field early enough for pre-game but since I was unsure of where the school was and it wasn't in the safest of neighborhoods, we left early and made it to the game an hour before kickoff.
And since we were there so early...the boys were able to sneak down to the field and stay there the entire game...to say they were beyond excited would be an understatement!
Ryan's defense ready to hit somebody

And hit somebody they did...

Ryan talking to his defense
FINAL SCORE
WCHS WILDCATS 65 -
SM JAGUARS 0

AND THE WILDCATS WIN!!!
The team singing the fight song with the fans in the stands Way to go WILDCATS!!!

My 3 favorite boys after the win ♥

SATURDAY ON THE FIELD
Saturday September 4, 2010
Cobras vs. War Eagles

The team during pre-game warm up
Colin is #60
Brendan is #80

The team walking to weigh in. Every Saturday the entire team weighs in for safety. Notice no smiles...it's game day and it's serious!
Since it was a holiday weekend we had some kids gone, and with that being the case both Brendan and Colin played both sides of the ball...they were so very pumped about that!
The starting offense

There is Colin knocking a defender right on his butt and Brendan making his block

And Colin again making a great block for the receiver to get the yards he needs for a touchdown!

Look on the far left side of the picture to see both Brendan & Colin blocking so the QB can get the pass off...way to work together boys!
Brendan getting double teamed...apparently the other team saw him as a threat!

Colin in the middle of the pack making his block

It was a nail biter of a game...but the Cobras came away VICTORIOUS!!
FINAL SCORE
COBRAS 19 -
WAR EAGLES 13GREAT GAME COBRAS!!
...and Ryan was able to come to this game (usually he has practice)...so double excitement!
2 TEAMS...2 GAMES...2 WINS...
Until next week...
Let's Go Wildcats
Let's Go Cobras

Tell Ryan congrats - & that he needs to smile :)

Great job to your two boys - but all I could think about was how hot those uniforms are. As you can tell, I'm not much of an athlete.

Wow! What a score for Ryan's high school team. I'll bet your boys hope you'll get there an hour early to all the games now though so they can stay with the team.

Saturday's game looks hot, but I know that when you are playing in the game you can sometimes overlook that discomfort.

I MISS my son in football soooo much. I love that sport! They used to double team him too. That means they're a good player right? That was always my motherly thinking. Great job on the wins.
