Project 365

Project 365 button designed by http://richgift.blogspot.com

A Picture a day for 365 days...a year's worth of fun!

I hope you have as much fun seeing a peek into my week as I am posting about it!

Sunday~219/365

Meeting up with my college best friend and roommate Julie. She and her family were visiting Arizona for a family vaca so we met at Out of Africa Wildlife Park for the day. We had lots of fun and took lots of pictures which will be in another post!

Monday~220/365

I have joined a site called mysurvey.com. I take online surveys for points which I can trade in for lots of different things. One of my surveys was to try a new cereal that is not even on the market and review it. It was pretty good...Colin liked it best!

Tuesday~221/365
Tuesday night = football practice

Wednesday~222/365

I switched out my bulletin board at school with some artwork related to our reading theme.
What are you hands for?!

Thursday~223/365

In my class I encourage good behavior with a marble jar. When they are on task, working quietly, walking in the hall in a line quietly...they earn marbles. When they earn all of the marbles they get a 'marble jar party'. Today was our first marble jar party. It is a surprise for the kids until snack time...I found these fun letter fruit snacks! How educational!

Friday~224/365 Friday Night Lights...WCHS brings home a win against the SM Jaguars...keep an eye out for my Football Frenzy post coming soon!

Saturday~225/365
Saturday on the field...the boys getting into line for weigh in. It was a great weekend for some football and the boys had a fantastic game!

This is what Sara says on her blog about Project 365...
"I am attempting to take one photograph each day of this next year. My hope is to be able to slow down and see the small things, become a better photographer and to be reminded of the many blessings God sends my way! "

Well said Sara...thanks for letting me tag along!
Join in with Sara...It's not to late to join the fun!

Do they have to weigh-in with all their gear on?

Love the shots this week and I love that you thought to take a picture of your bulletin board.

How long does football season last for your boys?

Looks like a good week. Cute bulletin board!! you are so brave to do paints!! (that WAS paint, wasn't it?) I haven't done paint in years! I let the Art teacher handle that! LOL

I love the "hands are for" wall. My boys were in a brawl the other day and when I was trying to figure out what happened and talk with them about it..my daughter, new to kindergarten chimed in. She said.."Guess what I learned in Kindergarten...Hands are for helping not hitting!" This brought a smile to each of our faces...including my very upset boys!!

My kids have had marble jar prizes in their classes too. I guess teachers everywhere have these universal good ideas!
Lovin' all those cute little hands!

I love your bulletin board! What was your most creative answer for hand usage?
Fun fruit snacks too! What's better than a learning snack?
I love the football weigh in shot. Very nice!
Have a super week!!

I love that you use positive reinforcement as a way to earn a party in your classroom. So many classrooms try to use mass punishment when one or two kids do something wrong and it NEVER works like they think it will.

I've never heard of weigh-ins for football, but then again, my son doesn't play football.

You mean you haven't already written a football frenzy post? :)

My husband has a pirate tshirt that he sometimes wears to school that says, "The beatings will now ocmmence!" His college students think it's pretty funny, but I guess that wouldn't work for your classroom. Glad you have better sense than he does!

You are very busy. I love the treats for your students. Your boys are lucky to have such a supportive Mom. Great photos!

Those are a cute snack - awesome for learning too! Last year when Jacob started K5 Cheez It came out with scrabble tiles for cheez it's. They all had letters on them and it was so cool when he was learning!

Again--you're making me miss classroom teaching, this time with your cute bulletin board. *sigh*

I'm not much of a sports fan, in general, but I can't help it...I've always enjoyed football season. The weather, the atmosphere, the lights, the sounds, the game itself. So fun!
