Marvelous Musings

Alicia over at More than Words tagged me last week for the great new meme, which Caribbean Shulamite has started at her blog. Be sure to check out both blogs for some really great reading...but now back to this meme. It is very simple to join in. All you need to do is to share a verse or passage of scripture that has caused us to raise our eyebrows, widen our eyes, take a deep breath, or has just oohed us.
The guidelines:
1. In your post include a link back to the person who has tagged you.
2. Post one of your intriguing, or shocking, or challenging passages/verses of scripture from the Bible, showing scripture references (chapter and verse) and Bible version.
3. (Optional) You may choose to state what you currently understand it to mean; You may also encourage others to comment or share on what they understand that excerpt to mean.
4. Tag at least 5 or more new people to participate.
So here is one verse that makes me go Ooh!
I love this verse, especially since I am in a new walk with God.
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ
has become a new person.
The old life is gone, a new life has begun!
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)
Rejoice in our God, for he has made us new again!
How wonderful is that?!
Blessings to you this Sunday

Hi Stacey!!

I love that verse! Isn't that awesome to know that we are not the same person we were before we knew the Lord!!!! Of course we still have the same personality, but we have been transformed!

Hi! I traced you through Mimi :) I am so glad you joined in this meme with her.

I love the verse you chose. As you shared, I can also tell it's so close to your heart right now and I want to thank you for this beautiful reminder that Christ has given us all a new life.

It's sometimes easy to read past a verse like that without stopping to reflect on what it means - esp for those of us who have been in Christ/church etc for a little longer. And it shouldn't be like that!

It really was so refreshing to read this verse. Blessings to you in Jesus!
