True Story Tuesday

...Another Tuesday...Another True Story...

So we all know my almost 10 year old Brendan...right? Right!

So last week he lost another tooth...seriously...how many more teeth does this kid have to lose anyway?? But whatever...he lost one and couldn't find his tooth box...so...he put his tooth on his dresser instead...eagerly awaiting the tooth fairy's visit that night...
So the next morning he comes out of his bedroom all giddy with excitement cuz "she came...she came...the tooth fairy came!!!"

And I was like..."hey get your $1.50 so I can take a picture of you with it for my blog."

And he was like..."how did you know it was $1.50?"

And I was like..."cuz you told me."

And he was like..."no I didn't."

And I was like..."yes you did."

And he was like..."no I didn't...you're the tooth fairy...aren't you mom???"

I know what you mean! My kid is losing teeth left and right. You are such a good mommy though. 9 out of 10 times I forget the first night! And then Kaishon is like "Why didn't the tooth fairy come" and I am like, "Well, maybe she couldn't find it last night. Let's try again tonight."
I think he knows too.

Your son is so cute : )

Hahaha!!! Oh, that is gonna be me one day!! Zoe lost 5 teeth in 2 weeks! Yeah, I am not kidding. On one of those days I forgot!! She was heartbroken! But i told her the tooth fairy didn't see it and would come the next day.

Oh, yeah. I'm with ya. Just this morning, we were talking about teeth (don't ask), and Adam said "I wonder what kids did back in the time of Jesus when they lost teeth?" And I said "Hmmm. Good question (stalling....); I wonder if they knew about the Tooth Fairy?" And he said "Nah, they didn't have stories like that back then... I think myths and fairy tales started with the Romans after the time of Jesus". Myths and fairy tales? Hello? Guess he was finding a subtle way to tell me that, now that he's 10, he no longer needs to fake believing. *sigh*

Oh my gosh...you were able to make him think for this long that there was an actual tooth fairy???? LOL, my kids are like, "Mom, don't forget to put money under my pillow."

It doesn't take them long to catch on, huh? Too funny! One time I forgot to put the money under the pillow, so I just told my oldest that it must have been the Tooth Fairies day off and she would come the next night. She bought it. ;-)

LOL...I was busted on Actress' last tooth when we waited a week to put it under her pillow. Now she knows about everything. Sweet!

Hahahaha! Oops. At least he doesn't look to upset by the realization.

How funny! That sounds like something I would say! You should have said something like "She always leaves that amount, that's how I knew"
Cute pictures!!

Aw, bummer! I'm so not going to acknowledge when Alex gets suspicious! he asks alot of questions these days but I've been pretty good acting clueless! Well...that's not that hard actually, LOL!

So cute! Alex's top two teeth are taking forever to grow in, but he hasn't lost any in awhile.

my 10 and 11 yr olds still believe in all the magical beings that bring things in the middle of the night. My 11 yr old son was questioning the Valentine Fairy over the weekend when my 10 yr old daughter announced that it was "MOM" that left those gifts. That prompted a reply of "well then what about the tooth fairy? Who's the tooth fairy", to which his sister answered, w/o skipping a beat..."Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson". LMBO!!!! can you believe that!! I laughed so hard at her!

LOL - at least he doesn't look too upset about the actual money!

One of my most treasured possessions is a tattered and torn tiny slip of paper... a letter from the Tooth Fairy - urging me not to let my other teeth take so long to come out (LOL), written my father's careful print.

Glad you took pictures of the kiddo's toothsome adventure! :)
