1st Letter of Intent...

Dear Parks & Rec Guy in the red shirt...

Yes...YOU...I appreciate that you work for our city's wonderful parks and rec department. I appreciate that I can put both of my sons into 3 sports a year for a very low rate. And I appreciate the beautiful facilities that my boys are able play at....what I DON'T appreciate is YOU talking about ME after I ask for some ice for my child who has just been hit by a kid pitched baseball. That's friend heard you and of course came back and told me...when I come to the concession stand and nicely ask for an icepack for my ball hit child, I would really appreciate you smiling and asking if he is OK and then promptly getting me that ice pack so his arm doesn't start to swell and discolor. I don't appreciate you telling me sarcastically to "GEESH...CALM DOWN. He ONLY got hit in the arm by a baseball." WHAT...I'M SORRY...WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME???? He only got hit with a baseball??? Is that what YOU just said to ME about MY son??? Oh cuz I didn't quite hear you. Maybe when YOU have a son of your own and HE gets hit by a kid pitched baseball then YOU might feel like ME...and when the worker who you ask for ice from talks smack behind your back...YOU can go off on him like a spider monkey on crack. SO next time my kid gets hit by a ball and I ask for some ice (I mean IT is your job, isn't it?) please just smile, ask if he is OK and get the stupid ice pack.

Thank you so very much,

The Red-Faced Yelly Baseball Mom

**and Colin was indeed fine...but really just get the stupid ice pack!!**

Once a Red Wings Fan...ALWAYS a Red Wings Fan!

Forever In Blue Jeans

We may live in AZ, but we are RED WINGS fans true to heart!! For our birthdays we went to a Red Wings-Coyotes playoff game this past Friday 5 of the series. Before game time the series was tied 2-2...

Here are the Wings warming up...

Before the game...

It was a sell out crowd and they were actually loud!! Here they are during the National Anthem...notice all of the white...they donned this playoff run...2010 White Out...but we wore our RED!

And the game starts with the drop of the puck....

Let's go DEFENSE!

See the puck in the net and the light on...YEP...the RED WINGS SCORE!!

It was a GREAT game...RED WINGS WIN...4-1 and take a 3-2 lead in the series! (as of Friday night!)
**since I wrote this post on Saturday night...I think it only fair to update it a bit...the Wings won the series (whoo hoo) and play San Jose in the next round of the play offs!
One last picture before heading home!
What a great way to celebrate our birthdays!
Love you babe!

So go ahead and shoot yourself and then head over to Carin's link up!

True Story Tuesday

SOSOSOSO...I live someplace warm....and for that reason my most favorite shoes are flip flops. I am not a fan of tennis shoes or sneakers or gym shoes or whatever you may call them...I feel as though my tootsies are being suffocated when wearing them!!

Well I have had this pair for...oh I don't know...maybe 10 years. They are the only pair of tennis shoes that I would wear...I.LOVE.THEM.
I love them so much that they now look like this...all yucky with holes in the soles...sad I know...

I have been looking EVERYWHERE for new shoes just like these...but to no avail Nike no longer makes this style or anything like them...{insert sad face here} and I couldn't find anything I liked until....

...I saw these when I was shopping last week! I love me some new Keds!!
...and the best part is there are no holes in these soles!! (yet anyways!)
Gotta true story??...Head over to Rachel's to share!

Diary of a Baseball Mom...

Game 7~ Thursday April 22, 2010 vs. was a cold & windy Thursday evening....when the Indians played the Cubs. Here is the team warming up.

...Colin at bat

...Brendan at bat...a swing and a miss...see the ball in the catcher's mitt??? Strike 1...

...Colin letting the field know that there is 2 outs...what a loud mouth!

...Brendan in the field.

And the Indians win again!!!...
Game 7 Breakdown: Indians 14-Cubs 6 (was 14-1 going into the last inning - we let a kid pitch who never pitched before, alas the "closer" score). Boys were both 0-1, 2 Walks, 2 runs each. Record: game Saturday April 24...Let's Go Indians!

Game 8~Saturday April 24, 2010 vs. (undefeated) Nationals
...Colin playing catcher...these fields are so hard for the boys to play on...they are the practice fields for the Kansas City Royals when they are in town for spring they are too big for the kids (I think!)...long back stops and instead of running on dirt they have to run on grass since they have to make the baselines's hard to slide on grass.. :P

...Brendan with a pop fly...

...another favorite picture...Colin is on 3rd & Brendan is batting...Colin slid into home for another wasn't at this bat...but in the 6th inning and last score of the game Brendan hit a true home was FANTASTIC!! And because I was cheering...stand up screaming cheering...I didn't get any pics!! Oh well...

...and this McCraken got hit by a pitch today... :(...on the arm. He is OK... just a bruise...way to take one for the team Colin!

Sadly the Indians could not pull out a win...but it made for another exciting game...Indians 7- Nationals 9.

Game 8 Breakdown
: Nationals 9-Indians 7 (6 innings); Brendan was 2-3, HR, 2 runs; Colin was 0-2, HBP, 1 run; Record: game is tonight (4 games in 1 week...oye vey)...Let's Get'em Indians!!!

Project 365

Project 365 button designed by

A Picture a day for 365 days...a year's worth of fun!

I hope you have as much fun seeing a peek into my week as I am posting about it!

Our weather has been warming up these last few weeks...but this week was something to talk about...mid 90's at the beginning of the week and mid 50's by the end of the week...very un-arizonza-like!! But on Sunday it was warm enough to try out the pool...Ryan and the boys actually got into the just put me feet in! It will be warm enough in no bring your suits and com'on over!

Monday~087/365 Colin playing video games in our bowl chair

YES...Tuesday was by birthday...I turned 37...gasp!! AND of course I wore my tiara all day!!

I got to go shopping for my birthday...some of my finds!

Thursday~090/365 was sosososo cold on Thursday...well cold by AZ standards anyways!! I was outside for HOURS Thursday evening due to a baseball game AND football game (that my girls cheered at) so when I got home at 9pm...I was a Popsicle!! I had myself a huge mug of steaming hot chocolate...yummy!

Friday~091/365 Ryan's birthday was in March and my birthday was this past for our birthday presents to each other....we went to the Red Wings-Coyotes playoff hockey game at arena on Friday night! When the Yotes don't play the can bet that I sport a Coyotes jersey...but once a Wings fan...always a Wings fan...and how fun that they WON...4-1!! They play in Detroit 6...LET'S GO RED WINGS!!

Saturday the boys played game 8 of their season and sadly they lost to an undefeated team...this is Colin after striking out...but this is actually how the entire team looked after the final out! Get'em next time Indians!

This is what Sara says on her blog about Project 365...
"I am attempting to take one photograph each day of this next year. My hope is to be able to slow down and see the small things, become a better photographer and to be reminded of the many blessings God sends my way! "

Well said Sara...thanks for letting me tag along!

Fun with Friends!

Forever In Blue Jeans

Since I have finished Carin's Where's Mom...52 week meme, I decided I would join along with her in her Shoot Me! meme now! She is still using Mr. Linky on Thursdays so you can join in pressure! I like the idea of still trying to be in at least 1 picture a week!

A few weeks ago we were able to meet up with my friend Grace and her family for a visit! And a fun visit it was...we (me & the boys) played hookey from school and drove about an hour and a half (where her in-laws live) to spend the day together! We usually only see them once a year but no matter how long it is in between visits it seems as though we just saw one another. Grace and I met in 1998, the summer we both were married! We worked together and then we both were pregnant at the same time...Brendan was born in March 2000 and her oldest Sean was born April 2000.After lunch and playtime we headed to the pool so the boys could take a dip!
Then it was dinner and sadly time to say good-bye!

But before are a must! Me & Grace

And one last pictures of us with the boys!
