Hanging Out with Cousins While in Michingan!!

Just a few more days of our Michigan trip and I will finally be caught up....ffffeeewwww!!!! On Friday, our first full day in Michigan, we met up with my cousin Trish and her kids and my cousin Sue's daughter at Culver's for lunch. It was good food and fun...what could be better than that!
Sydney, the little one in purple, didn't want to stop, so I had to do what I had to do, and that was just take a picture as she walked away!!! The others in the picture from L to R are
Brendan, Brooke, Bradley, & Colin

After lunch, the kids just couldn't get enough of each other, so Trish invited us over to her house where the kids could swim & play while we talked! I haven't seen my cousins in over 2 years, so it was great fun to catch up!

I couldn't get enough of this little girl! She is the cutest thing ever and I must have taken over 100 pictures of her between the 2 times that we were together!! They have a bigger pool, but it was kinda cool, so the kids took to running around the yard and spraying each other with the hose and water guns and playing in Sydney's kiddie pool! Love the laugh on Colin's face in the picture below!
Then on Monday evening, my mom set up a family dinner where my Aunt Judy, Cousin Trish & her kids and my Cousin Sue & Brooke came over for dinner! One stop visit is what I like to call this!! My mom made a yummy dinner of sloppy joes, beans, chips and potato salad!! And for dessert Aunt Judy brought over ice cream cake from Culver's!

YUMMY!

We got the kids to stop and smile for a nano-second to take a picture!
Bradley (7), Brooke (8), Brendan (9), Colin (8) & Syndey (2)

After dinner, we headed outside into the backyard for play and talk!

The trip wouldn't be a success without a little football, now would it!??!

My Mom & Aunt Judy
Thanks for setting up a fun-filled night of cousins & kids mom!
We had a great time!
Until next time....

That is a cute face as he appears to be falling out of the kiddie pool. =0)

And you're right, your cousin's little daughter is a precious little doll! =0) I do miss those days of Riley at that age.

Have a great Monday!

How fun!! This is the first year that all the wives do stuff together. So, all of this is new to me. In the past, non of the wives wore school shirts or sat together. So I am really used to being by myself.

Good Luck, this season!! I will be thinking about you.

Looks like a fun vacation you had. As I type this while slurping the last of my smoothie from Culvers.

No trip with boys is complete without some kind of activity with a ball. I love the look on Collin's face. That's one happy moment! And, you are right - Sydney is a sweetheart.

How fun was that trip...looks like everyone had so much fun.

Glad you are home safe.

What's next? Are you ready for school?

I've been buying school supplies. I'm not looking forward to the clothes shopping though. This has never been an issue since we home schooled. Oh well, God will provide patience and whatever we actually need.

Take care,
nannette

Thinking of you as another school year begins. I used to love the couple of weeks leading up to the first day of school. :)
