Please Pray...

I received a call last week from my mom that my Nannie had fallen. Not a good fall, but is there really a good fall? The assisted living center where she lives found her in the middle of her bedroom floor not able to get up last week. They are not sure how she fell or how long she had been on the floor, but it was pretty bad...broken hip. She was taken to the hospital where it was found that she not only had a broken hip, but she also had phenomena, UTI, a serious blood infection, and a mild heart attack. She has been on serious antibiotics for the last few days and today, she is having a partial hip replacement.
Usually this in not to big of a deal, but you see, my Nannie is not in the best of health...she is 89 years old and suffers from Alzheimer's & Dementia...so every time she wakes up she has no idea what has happened and tries to get out of bed only to find that she can't walk. My mom, aunt and cousins have taken vigil at her bedside for the last week...just waiting.

So today is the big day...surgery day...and after that back to rehab. Please pray for Nannie and for my family during this time...and for me. I am so very sad that I cannot be there. I know that there would be nothing I could do if I was there, but I just wish I was there for my mom, my aunt, my cousins...for my Nannie...so please pray.

Oh, I am so sorry. I just prayed for your Nannie. I will continue to pray for her today. My grandmother had alzhemier's as well and I know how hard that is. (I posted a picture of her on Friday.) Her birthday just passed so she has been on my mind. I will continue to keep your Nannie in my prayers- and you because I know your heart is heavy.

Praying for Nannie and you guys now. Sounds like the fall might have ended up a blessing in disguise. Pneumonia kills many older people, this could have been Gods will at work.

We will keep her in our constant prayers.

Love and Prayers,

Tim

Stacey,

I am sorry to hear of your grandmother...all around. We lost my dear grandmother to Alzheimer's many years before she went to her grave. I understand your pain, worry and sadness. Praying for a successful surgery.
