Last year, we started a new family tradition...that on the first day of ANY vacation, we head to IHOP for breakfast at the buttcrackofdawn!! Since our clocks (your brains and bodies, that is) are still on school time, and we are still up at our 'normal school' time, we decided to go and have breakfast as a family at one of our fav places!

I am gonna miss the day when they decide that they are too old and sleepy to join mom and dad for the 1st day of vacation at IHOP. I will miss the laughs and giggles and smiles and yummy food, so for now I will cherish these few days a year when we get to spend that special morning as a family celebrating THE FIRST DAY OF VACATION!!For more You're Gonna Miss This moments, visit Pam.

What a fabulous tradition! I love it and wanna copy it with my kiddos!! I think traditions are so good for kids and families, it's the stuff like this that you will all look back on with fondness in years to come.

There is an IHOP coming soon right down the street from my house! I can't wait!!!!
Yum! That is one of my boys favorite places but I don't ever take them because they are too far away!!!
Im eating a belgian waffle with strawberries in my mind...
I don't think my boys will ever be to old to get up for a free breakfast, lol (mom and dad paying).
We have an annual last day of homeschool lunch that my college student son still tries to make if he can!

What a great tradition! Nothing like pancakes smothered in strawberry syrup to start the summer. We just may have to do this ourselves! :)

Seems like nothing gets big kids out of bed like food!!! especially free (to them!) restaurant food!!!! You may wish they could sleep in and miss it before they make that choice on their own!!!!! LOVE IT!!! Thanks for linking up!
