Diary of a Baseball Mom...

Game 11: Thursday May 6, 2010 vs. OriolesSadly I wasn't able to stay at this game...this was my crazy busy day were I had cheer practice, Ryan had football practice, Brendan had both bell/choir practice and his spring concert and Colin had a baseball game (Brendan choose to go and perform at his concert instead of playing in his baseball game) ALL AT THE SAME TIME!!!! So I left cheer practice early to take Colin to his game; Ryan came to the game late, after football practice ended; and Brendan just stayed at school since he had practice and then they had a pizza party before their concert.
BUT I needed to have a Diary post...so before dropping him and leaving..I snapped a few pics of him in the dugout!! Here he is goofing around and hanging like a monkey from the roof of the dugout!
I was able to snap this pic...which I love! And once again we were on the BIG fields...*sigh*...and once again they lost...*sigh*...what is it with those BIG fields?!?

Game 11 Break Down:
Orioles 13-Indians 12; Colin was 1-2, 3-Run HR, Walk; Brendan DNP - concert for school. We had a player thrown out at home for the final out of the game Record: 7-4

Game 12: Saturday May 8, 2010 vs. Reds
Sadly I WAS NOT at the game either...{insert HUGE sad face here}...this was the day that my cheer squad had their end of the season competition. The reason was I was so sad { :( } was because BOTH boys pitched and Colin caught. And because I had the camera...Ryan did not! So no pics...But I heard through the grapevine that Colin is an amazing pitcher!! Hopefully I will be able to see them both pitch before the season ends...which is in 2 weeks. Can you believe it?? Our baseball season ends May 20...and then nothing until football season in August! And again...BIG fields=loss.

Game 12 Break Down: Reds 12-Indians 9; Colin was the player of the day! On the mound, Colin only allowed 1 earned run while striking out 3 batters. He was 0-1 at the plate with a Walk and Run scored. Brendan was 1-1 at the plate with a Walk and 2 runs scored. Brendan pitched 2 innings, giving up 5 runs (only 1 earned). When Colin took the mound the Indians were down 10-2... Record 7-5

You are so good with keeping track on the boys! Reminds me of my sister and her boys. They are baseball players too, and it seems like they play all year round!

Nolan's season ended last week and Jakob's last game is Friday as long as there isn't a rainout. Boy do I hope there's not a rainout! I am soooo ready for this season to be over!

Our season ends May 26th so we're just behind you. I can't believe it's almost over, this year has just flown by.

I hate when I can't be at games either, fortunately that's not too often.

My baby (I say it like she's so little even though she is 6 1/2)is sick today so we'll miss tonight's game. Only 4 more left after this one :(

Boo hoo on the missed game. That stinks...cause no pictures of my boy pitching. Maybe next time. Love that picture of Colin. You better send me a copy of that one.
Darn that big field.

"but I needed to have a Diary post"...oh how many times I think that in a day. Then I snap these random pics that wind up being great (usually). I walk around during the day composing diary entries in my head....then forget them by the time I get home to write! *sigh*
My genius is no match for my memory! (or lack of memory)LOL

sorry you had to miss the games. It's hard sometimes!
