True Story Tuesday

So this was my Colin Boy at his well child check up last week...doesn't look too happy does he???
Well that cuz he's NOT...

...this kid cannot seem to catch a break...

He was a preemie at birth coming almost 6 weeks early...because of this he had underdeveloped lungs that were filled with fluid. He spent the first 3 days of his life in the NIC-U (and I am thankful that it was so short).

One month before he turned 2 he broke his left femur and was in a spica cast for almost 9 weeks...that was fun....not!

At 3 he had a super bad case of stomiovitus...a terrible terrible oral infection that gave him blisters and canker sores all over his lips, tongue, mouth, & throat...his pediatrician had never seen a case as bad as his. He couldn't eat for a week...it was so painful.

Three months after turning 4, he had to have surgery to drop his left testicle because it was undescended.

When he was 8 and a half he was diagnosed with Childhood Absence Epilepsy. He is now on 750mg daily of his anti-seizure medication.

And now, 1 week shy of his 9th birthday, he has once again been diagnosed with another undescended testicle...the right one this time. What does that mean...another surgery.

He heard this and lost it...'I am done mom' he said to me when the dr. told us this.

I am lifting my Colin Boy up to God...please give him the strength and courage to get through this next step...Give it all to God...because God's got this...

Got a true story?? Head over to Rachel's and share!!

I have a son like this..it seems from birth everything has happened to him....the list is LONG. But you know what, I see such a resilience in him now as a young adult. When hit with tough situations, he doesn't fall back, but hits them head on because he has seen God work so much in his young life....such a blessing. His faith is at a place far beyond most boys his age.

hang in there!

Okay, weird question, how did they not notice it wasn't there the first time around?

I feel so bad for him and pray he'll come through it with flying colors!

Poor thing! Why didn't they take care of the right one when they did the left one? I hope he never reads your blog, he'll be mortified.

My sweet boy. He is just that. Sweet. If anyone can handle all that has been put on his plate it is Colin. He is so strong and tolerant. He has the best attitude...but I agree. I am ready for you to be done too Colin.
Praying for you sweet boy.
Lots of hugs,
Mimi

I didn't like knowing that your boy had to deal with this, but I loved Mimi's comment - coming from someone who knows him. Praying that God will give you wisdom and that he will give your boy perfect health.

So sorry!
