My Husband Rocks!
I know that this is supposed to be a Friday meme, but I just couldn't wait until Friday to brag on my awesome hubby! First off, He did a great job Christmas shopping for me this year! I loved everyhting that he picked out for me, especially my chocolate fountain, which I cannot wait to use!
Secondly, while I was at school yesterday cleaning out my office, he was at home with the boys, cleaning the house. I came home and found that they had put all of their presents away and then they had dusted and vacuumed the front part of the house! I was in amazement since I had posted in my 'Not Me!' Monday post that it was not me who was stepping over things instead of picking them up and putting it away!

Thirdly , he bought me a new car!! Well, this is the way it went down!...We have always leased cars, and our van lease was due to expire in February, so yesterday Ryan took it upon himself to clean out all my personal things out of my van and take it to the dealership to see what kind of deal he could find. He was gone for a long, long time,
but when he came home, he came home in this....a 2009 Chevy Traverse! Isn't it so pretty?!It is the new crossover between a van and an SUV. It seats 8 and has a DVD player as well as On Star and XM radio! I am so excited and the best thing about this car is it is ours...
Yep we bought it!

The Great Adventure on Friday!
Isn't it Ironic?!
I have been wanting to sleep in at least once while on my Christmas Vacation, but to no avail, I have not had the opportunity. This morning I thought I hit the jackpot and then before 7 am I hear this most annoying BEEP, BEEP, BEEP! I begrudgingly woke up and sleepily walk around the house to find where this most annoying BEEP is penetrating from. I follow the noise into Colin's room, mind you where he is sleeping soundly, to find my old cell phone's alarm going off. WHAT!! He had taken over my old phone when I got a new one and he had set the alarm (for whatever reason, he had nowhere to be!). So, I thought I had turned it off and went back to bed and low and behold, BEEP, BEEP BEEP, 10 minutes later! I refound the phone and opened it up only to realize that I had hit the snooze button and had not turned it off! So I was up and the boy who had set the alarm was sleeping...ironic isn't it?!
Yea...Colin is in there somewhere, sleeping soundly!

Is it Monday Already?!
So, yet another week has passed and now it is time for me to bare my soul of what I did not do this week! Because I am a much better person than that and I defiantly would not admit to the things that I obviously should not of done...what kind of person would do that?! So, anyways here is what I did not do...
1. I did not fall asleep sitting straight up on the couch Christmas afternoon with my entire family over. I am a much better hostess than that!
2. I did not play so much Wii over the last few days that I am so sore it hurts to move anything! I am in much better shape than that...really I am!!
3. I did not turn the TV on at 4:30 am (that's what time I was woken up by Brendan)on Christmas morning to try and detour our opening of presents and try to get a few more winks in. No, I am a much better mother than that. I would have helped him try and get back to sleep like any loving mother!
4. It was not me who has eaten so many cookies this past week that if I eat another one, I may explode. I have much better will power than that.
5. It certainly is not me who is going into school a little later this morning to get some work done in my classroom. That is just upsurd! It is my vacation and I should be enjoying it with my family!
6. It is not me who is continuously stepping over things all over the house instead of picking them up and putting them away! I have cleaned up all of our Christmas presents and put them away and I am a much better housekeeper than that!
7. It was not me who signed up both boys for baseball camp right after Christmas and had to get up at the butt crack of dawn to drive them there Friday, Saturday AND Sunday. I would have looked at my calendar and realized that that was just too much! (although they did have fun and learned a few things!)
So there you have it...some of the things that I DID NOT DO this past week! What didn't you do?

Until Next Time...it wasn't me...I swear!

Wii Would Like to Play!
We were blessed with a very Wii-filled Christmas this year! Santa brought the boys Wii Sports, he brought Ryan Wii Guitar Hero with all of his favorite AeroSmith music, and he brought me WiiFit! We have been having sssooo much fun playing all of the different games that we got along with it! Santa must have told all of our friends and family he was getting us Wii, cuz we got lots of games to play from everyone! Brendan and Colin's favorite game is SpongeBob Squarepants & Nicktoons in Globs of Doom, Daddy's favorite game is Guitar Hero and my favorite game is WiiSports! Here are a few pics of us playing with our Wii...
Here is me bowling..trying to anyways!

I'm Gonna Miss This...
So this past Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, my niece, Kennedy, spent time with our family. We are very fortunate to live close enough for Kennedy to visit and spend the night often. I have always been close to Kennedy and love to have her spend time with the boys.
So Monday night her and the boys wrote a Christmas play that they wanted to preform for the family on Christmas day. They each had their own roles with lines, songs with solos and props. I had so much fun watching them practice for 3 days and then put on the performance of their (short) lives! This reminded me of when I was their age. Me, my sister & cousins would put on talent shows, plays, sing-a-longs...anything that our parents would watch, through out the entire year! I was so proud of them, as was the rest of the family!
It was a very cute play entitled "The Night Before Christmas" which was about 2 boys going to bed on Christmas Eve and being thankful for the presents that Santa and his elf brought! The played ended with a family sing-a-long and dancing! Everyone had so much fun and I am really going to miss it when they feel that they are too old to have fun like this! Kennedy is 11 yrs old and I am very thankful that she still comes over and hangs out with an 8 yr old and 7 yr old. I hope that next year they will preform for us again!
So I am going miss these fun times when they use their imagination and beyond...

I can only hope and pray that they use it as often as they want!

The Day After...
I hope everyone had a great day yesterday! We had an awesome day that started out at 4:18 am. Yes...you read it right, our oldest one was in our room at 4:18 am. I was like,"are ya kiddin' me?!". So I sent him back to his room, but to no avail, he was up for the day. So he climbed into bed with me and Ryan and we put on the TV and watched 'The Christmas Story' on TBS until Colin woke up a little while later! We were up and out of bed about 5:30am. I crept into the living room to turn on the Christmas tree lights and get the camera ready and this is where our day begins....
Look what Santa left...
The tree before the house wakes up...
Creeping down the hall for a peek...
Creeping down the hall for a peek...
Coming around the corner...
